I completely forgot to check the results of the Botanical Collage challenge on @spoonflower — I genuinely didn’t expect this design to land in the top 100 😄
So yes… this one surprised me ❤️🙏🏻 And a huge thank you to everyone who took the time to vote for it 🙃

Looking at all the entries, mine definitely stood out in a different way — I went modernist on purpose, even though the theme leaned more traditional.

And somehow… I ended up in 49th place. Again 😄 It really feels like I’ve rented that spot at this point 🤭
This is officially the third time I’ve finished 49th.
Last time I even woke up the next day and found myself bumped to 48th for reasons unknown.

So apparently 49 is my lucky number now 🌿✨🍀

Sorry for this post, may delete later…I just got an email from @spoonflower with this subject line after almost two years of selling my designs there, and honestly it hit hard.
I sent my Tax info before and already received letters from them with my income and all details were right. So I don't know what is going on 😰

It’s no secret that I haven’t been doing well lately, and this kind of emails sends my anxiety through the roof. I reached out for help but didn’t really get any answers.

Is it just me, or is something going on with their tax system right now?If anyone understands this or has been through it, please comment or DM me — I’d really appreciate any kind of help and conversation.

Only a few mockups for now, but I wanted to share how this veggie design looks on different products.
I’m slowly shaping the full collection, and open to collaboration along the way.

So following on from my last post… here she is, the final version of my design for the @spoonflower Farmer’s Market challenge.

I spent a solid minute (…okay, five) arguing with myself about whether to go light or dark with the background. I even dragged Instagram into my indecision because why suffer alone.

But honestly, the dark background won — the veggies are popping like they just heard someone say “organic and locally grown”.

So here it is: my official entry.
A chaotic, colourful celebration of vegetables, flowers, and my inability to make decisions without a small internal meltdown.

Of course I’ve left another design competition to the last minute 😄🙈
The deadline is tomorrow, so at this point I’ll probably be finishing around midnight again.

I’m doing this one the traditional way — pencil, paper, and absolutely zero undo button. My brain keeps trying to do the two‑finger‑undo like I’m on the iPad 🤣
But it actually feels nice to switch off the screen for a bit and just focus.

I’ve already started the main sketch, so now it’s just a race to get it done in time.

In the middle of the AI era, sometimes the most satisfying thing is going fully manual.
We slowed down with Lilly and side by side painted whatever made us feel happy, no‑work kind of day, so I finally did something I’ve wanted for ages — sat down with real paper, real brushes, real watercolours, and just painted.
I’m still learning, still far from the artists I admire, but every now and then it feels good to show up with something made by hand.
This little watercolour moment turned into a seamless pattern, and honestly, it made my whole day. 🙃🥰

I’m working on these collections too — these are the first three designs of the collection. I started the fourth one last night and literally fell asleep halfway through it ☺️
So for now, only these three are finished.

And yes, I’m happily breaking the “never pair pink and red” rule. You can pair them — you just need to match the temperature. Warm with warm, cool with cool. I went with hot pink and hot red here, and they’re looking gorgeous together.

Design four is halfway done, and design five is still just living in my head for now. 😄✌🏻

I’m deep in other projects right now, so while the real work is happening off‑screen, I’m giving some of my older designs a fresh moment with updated mockups.
Good design doesn’t expire — it evolves — and this honey‑bee hive pattern is still one of my favourites to revisit. Obviously because I need attention from you and I don’t want to lose what I’ve achieved here ✌🏻🤷🏻‍♀️😘

It was a insta favourite last year too, and honestly, it still holds up.
And yes, I even turned one of the designs into a midi dress and started selling it, because some patterns deserve to live beyond the canvas.
